About
I am a Bristol-based audio producer. I’ve been with the BBC since 2013, where my work spans podcasts, documentaries, audiobooks, crafted features, studio discussions and drama. Recent projects include a documentary with U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón for the BBC World Service about writing a poem to be sent into space; a collaboration with Liz Berry telling the story of her great aunt Eliza through poetry, music and archive; and an interview with Bruce Springsteen about the events that inspired Dancing in the Dark.
I have a special interest in poetry and fiction and I work closely with writers on new commissions and adaptations of books for radio. I was elected an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2020 in recognition of this work.
Outside the BBC, I’ve worked on a number of podcasts and sound art projects including The Empathy Museum’s A Mile in My Shoes project, the Bedtime Stories for the End of the World podcast and In the Company of Insects (a collaboration with the poet Fiona Benson and sound artist Eliza Lomas).
I coach and mentor people starting out in audio and am part of the In the Dark collective, curating listening events.
